The New Development Center (NDC)
The NDC opened in 1999 to house street girls and young women caught in sex trafficking and prostitution, sold into slavery, or in need of help to survive. The key to successfully rescuing these women was to provide career training so they were not forced back into their old way of life. Through this center many girls' lives were transformed. They found a new life in Christ and a bright new future.
Over time the needs in that region changed. Today, the New Development Center works with the department of social services and provides a home to young girls and boys who are the victims of domestic violence and abusive home situations. The TransformAsia staff at the center provide a safe, nurturing environment and mentorship. The children attend the local school and receive additional support at the center along with spiritual guidance. We are blessed to be able to help these young people who are so impressionable.
